Dress Code

The visiting dress code is a set of rules governing what clothing visitors may wear to a correctional facility. Dress codes exist to distinguish visitors from inmates and prevent the introduction of contraband. Common restrictions include no clothing similar in color to inmate uniforms such as khaki, tan, or orange, no revealing clothing, no open-toed shoes, and no excessive jewelry. Dress code violations are among the most common reasons visitors are turned away.
