Nebraska State Penitentiary

Nebraska State Penitentiary is Nebraska's primary maximum-security state prison, operated by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and located in Lincoln in Lancaster County, the state capital. Established in 1869, it is one of the oldest prisons in the Great Plains region and houses adult male inmates at maximum, medium, and minimum security classifications.
