MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution

MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution is Connecticut's largest state prison, operated by the Connecticut Department of Correction and located in Suffield in Tolland County in north-central Connecticut, about 15 miles north of Hartford near the Massachusetts border. The facility was formed by combining two adjacent institutions — the MacDougall Unit and the Walker Unit — into a single administrative complex. MacDougall-Walker houses adult male inmates at high security classification and serves as one of the primary long-term institutions in the Connecticut DOC system. The standard two-platform model applies: JPay for messaging and money, GTL for phone and video. These are separate services with separate accounts — stamps on JPay cannot be used for GTL phone calls.
